Canadian HD leader High Fidelity HDTV and worldwide distribution leader TVF International announce major new agreement
(Toronto/London) – Canada’s High Fidelity HDTV Inc. and London-based TVF International have concluded a significant new programming distribution partnership, the first deal of its kind for both companies.
Under the terms of the agreement, which was announced at Real Screen in Washington today, TVF becomes High Fidelity’s international distribution partner for programming produced by the company’s production entity, High Fidelity HDTV Media Inc. In addition to the approximately 70 hours of current and timely programming already produced, TVF will have the first option for distribution of High Fidelity’s yearly production slate, and will play a significant role in sourcing international co-production financing.

Secrets of the Exhibit (7 x 60) Hidden behind the staid atmosphere of most museums is a vibrant and exciting world that pits science and physical evidence against philosophy and conjecture. Secrets of the Exhibit will take you deep into the fascinating world behind the orderly, perfectly labeled displays. Oasis Earth (1 x 60) On a recent Space Shuttle mission, the crew took an HD camera into orbit, and returned with spectacular images of earth in stunning HD quality. For the first time it is possible, via Oasis Earth, to see a perspective of our planet previously known only to those who have actually been in earth orbit, and to hear shuttle astronauts Dominic Gorie, Janet Kavandi and Janice Voss describe their life-changing vantagepoint.
Hubble’s Canvas (6 x 30) Space, the final frontier, comes into focus for the armchair astronaut with Hubble’s Canvas, a series of six, 30-minute HD documentaries that reveal the artistry and explains the science of outer space via the images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Narrated by noted astronomy columnist Ivan Semeniuk.. Hubble’s Canvas reveals the masterpieces that abound in the universe and how the world’s most powerful telescope reveals the incredible beauty in every faint, glowing patch scattered around the sky.
Collector Showdown (26 x 30) is a fun, high-drama, information-packed half-hour television program dedicated to collectors and their collections and set against the backdrop of a friendly showdown between two like-minded collectors. In each episode two contestants of a certain collector genre – be it vintage records, comic books, or Barbie dolls - face off in a friendly battle of knowledge and skill for the ultimate prize.

Stronger words for the top “extreme” athletes profiled in this series might include “obsessed,” “possessed,” “adrenaline-hooked,” “fixated” and “consumed.” Whatever the mix of fascinating passions motivating them, Motivated is a must-see for anyone wishing to understand the innate human attraction to risk and boundary-pushing for fame and glory.
