Rush HD goes LIVE with X-Fighters freestyle motocross event

Rush HD’s exclusive HD broadcast now the best seat in the house for the only Canadian stop on the X-Fighters Tour

(Toronto – May 25, 2009) – Rush HD, Canada’s no-fear, no-limits extreme adventure HD channel goes LIVE for the first time with the exclusive HD broadcast of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour event in Calgary on Saturday, May 30th.

Now in its third year, Red Bull X-Fighters has become the world’s premiere freestyle motocross series.  Featuring unbelievable double-backflips and other gravity-defying stunts off huge ramps performed by the world’s best collection of freestyle motocross riders, X-Fighters is the sport’s undisputed number one event.

“It’s going to be an incredibly exciting evening of coverage – the kind you tune to and then can’t tune away from, just because of the amazing things these riders can do on their powerful motorcycles”, says John Panikkar, CEO of Rush HD.  “We are delighted to be able to bring this show to our viewers, and especially so because we are bringing it to them live, as the thrills and spills are happening”, he adds.

Rush HD is the exclusive HD broadcaster in Canada for the Calgary event, and will bring viewers the live broadcast from the sold-out Calgary Stampede Park at 11:00pm ET, 9:00pm MT.  For viewers in Alberta, the show will be available on Bell TV channel 811. 

The series opened in Mexico in March.  A one hour highlights program begins Rush HD”s coverage immediately before Rush HD goes live for the Calgary event, which is the tour’s only Canadian stop.  Next up are San Antonio, Madrid and then the tour concludes with the crowning of a 2009 champion in London, England.
